Comfy, sleek and synonymous with mid-century furniture design.
Originally designed in 1948, Eero Saarinen's black Womb Chair and matching ottoman was the result of a request from mid-century design pioneer Florence Knoll for "a chair that was like a basket full of pillows". Saarinen sought to design a comfortable chair which would allow several sitting positions rather than one rigid one position. The chair's low, wide seating position and cocooning arms make it extremely comfortable and cosy whilst allowing you spread out in any direction. Saarinen's laid-back approach to design and attention to detail makes the chair a real must for anyone serious about furniture, design and comfort.
The Pash Classics Womb Chair is crafted from a moulded fibreglass shell which allows for the chair's unique shape to be achieved. A stainless steel frame supports the chair & ottoman whilst soft foam cushions adorned with a luxuriously soft black cashmere upholstery add the final touch.
