Verner Panton (1926-1998) was a successful furniture designer during the 20th Century and an icon of Danish design history. In 1955 he opened his own studio, and became famous for his single form injection moulded plastic chair - the timeless Panton 'S' Chair. In addition to his work with artistic furniture, he also invested his talent in textiles and lighting, showcasing at various exhibitions.
As an award winning designer, Verner Panton has some of the most famous masterpieces created during the 20th century. During his career he created innovative and futuristic designs in many materials, specialising in plastics, usually in an array of vibrant and exotic colours.
